We had another great night on the square in Berlin. What a fantastic crowd! Thank you to the person who brought a dog… that really made our night!

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! (Psalm 150:6 ESV)
Nailed it.

We were actually afraid that it was going to rain and we would not be able to play, but the weather held off beautifully (thank You, Jesus!) and it didn’t really start raining until right after we were finished playing.

We certainly played an abnormal selection of songs tonight, but it was a blast. “I’ll Fly Away” was not a song we were expecting to play -but then we did. Great song request, Mr. Keebler!

We were also randomly joined on stage by some wonderful ladies from West Virginia who led us in a rousing rendition of “When the Roll is Called Up Yonder”. Did not see that coming, but you just never know what is going to go down in Berlin!

Another highlight was listening to Keith Byler deliver on a song request for “I Can Only Imagine.”

Probably the best part of the night, though, was hearing so many song requests for Polen Band original songs. “Come to the Rock”, “You Alone Are God”, “Storm Chaser”, and “Seasons” are all Polen Band original songs that we have not played in a long time. Thank you for the requests!

Hopefully we will be back again next year.

For everyone who braved the cold weather and threat of rain to join us tonight, THANK YOU! We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did…

On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evening we had the pleasure of leading music / worship before the powerful drama “Heaven’s Gates & Hell’s Flames” just outside of Berlin, OH. It was a privilege for us to be a part of the event.

The drama was definitely powerful. It began with a portrayal of the crucifixion of Christ and his power over the grave. Then there were several mini skits depicting real life situations in which the characters lose their lives and find themselves waking up at the gates of heaven to find out whether or not their names were written in the Book of Life. For those who had put their faith in Jesus, he personally welcomed them through the gates of Heaven. Those who had not put their faith in Jesus were dragged away to Hell’s flames.

At the end of the drama an invitation was given for people to put their faith in Christ at that moment, to know that they will go to Heaven when they die and to begin a personal relationship with Jesus right now while they still live. 128 people came forward to declare that they were putting their faith Jesus! Praise God!

Thanks to everyone who came out to be a part of the event. We hope that you found it to be as powerful as we did. We would love to hear your feedback in the comments, so if you were there (or even if you just wanted to be there), let us know!

Tonight we spent some time in the studio working on a new song called “Coming Back” for the upcoming I Am retreat. We recorded part of the song during an earlier recording session and tonight we recorded the acoustic guitar, vocals, bass guitar, and electric guitar.

We may post a rough mix of the song if people are interested. If not, we’ll just wait until it is finished.

We are thinking about making a music video during the retreat like we did a few years back with “Our God Saves”. That was fun.

It is good to be playing together again… We have quite a few upcoming events, so hopefully we’ll see you soon.

Wow! What a great night of worship with the current REACHers at the Rosedale International Center in Columbus, OH.

The R.I.C. is a training center for young adults who are running to the nations as missionaries. It is a beautiful place and it was encouraging to worship our great God with brothers and sisters in Christ who are serious about giving themselves to the LORD. what a privilege to be a part of it.

Just for fun, we lowered the price of our CD’s to $5 and sold a ton. Please join us in praying that God will use the songs to encourage the hearts of the listeners and draw them into a deeper love and adoration of the One who has lavished His love upon us even while we were dead in our sins.

Nick was with us again tonight. He must have survived the wedding. It was good to have him back.

Next stop: Athens, TN.

It seems like it has been forever since we have played together, but we plugged in and had a blast last night at the Living Water Community Church youth room in Dalton, OH.

A highlight of the evening was being reunited with the original drummer for Polen. Nick was unavailable due to a friend’s wedding, but Eric Kaufman jumped in and helped on the drums (technically on the cajon, as it was an acoustic event). It was good to have Eric on stage with us again.

Now we are heading out to Columbus, OH to lead worship for the REACHers at the Rosedale International Center. Then on to Tennessee Wesleyan College for a concert on campus.

We are not exactly an acoustic band, but it is fun to occasionally break the full-band music down to just the essentials. On Friday night we put on an acoustic concert at the square in Berlin, OH.

A concert in Berlin is always an interesting thing because the town is located right in the middle of Amish country. The majority of the crowd were tourists. Some in the audience were from as far away as Oregon. Some were from Wisconsin. Most were not from Berlin.

We had a really great night of worship and fun. Thanks to everyone who came out and hopefully we’ll see you again on the square in Berlin, OH.
